Flower Competition

The Pam Golding Hall and Annexe at the new Environmental Learning Centre were a riot of colour thanks to the large number of exhibitors that entered their prize blooms and plants into competition to win an array of attractive prizes. A record 49 children participated this year, creating a range of beautiful and innovative exhibits.

The prize giving was held on Sunday 7 October in the courtyard of the Environmental Learning centre for the first time, with most trophies and prizes being handed over by Jenna Holmes, Honorary President of the Albany Horticultural & Lilium Society.

The prizes for the Gardens of Grahamstown competition were handed over at the same time. Brenda Cadle, Adele Barnard and Kim Webber, representatives of the main sponsor, Pam Golding Properties Grahamstown, were present to do this.

Some of the photographs taken at the prize giving have been posted on the Gallery. Winners who would like a digital copy of their photographs should contact the Organisers on info@grahamstownflowerfestival.co.za.
